The Golfing Life of Jock Kirkcaldy
The ‘Golf Book of the year’ was launched with much fanfare at Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society on Friday 15th November 2019. Around fifty guests were treated to fine fizz and hot canapes. A number of brief speeches were made, (including a the reading of a fine excerpt from ‘The Boys Champion’ by the Author). The Author had a splendid speech prepared, but pressure of chatter time precluded its presentation – he had to do instead with the reading of a splendid excerpt from ‘The Boys Champion’. The speech chronicles the birth, development and denouement of the publication. It explains the background behind all the stories and essays, and is essential reading for all Jock Kirkcaldy fans and followers. Read the speech here.
